A slim body that saves space

Once a document is fed in, it follows a U-turn path and is discharged at the front section of the main unit. This eliminates the need to leave space in front for document delivery and results in outstanding space-saving. Also, switching to straight ejection path makes it possible to scan cards and other thick documents.

Connecting via wireless access point (Station mode)

This mode connects the scanner to PCs, smartphones, and tablets via a wireless access point, and allows you to share the scanner among multiple devices. Using a WPS-compatible access point makes the network configuration process that is required for using this mode quick and easy.

1-to-1 connection (Access Point mode)

The scanner connects to PCs, smartphones, and tablets on a 1-to-1 basis in this mode. Detection of the scanner and connections are performed from the other device, allowing you to scan images with your smart devices.

Reliable document feeding

As documents are fed in, the upper sensor transmits ultrasonic waves that are received by the lower sensor. If multiple feeding should occur, document feeding is automatically halted and a double feed is indicated, so there is no risk of data loss during scanning.

Double Feed Release functions

If a double feed is detected, the Retry and DFR (Double Feed Release) functions allow scanning to resume. To resume the detected job, select the DFR in the confirmation dialogue on the screen or press the DFR button on the main unit. These functions can help to reduce the downtime during scanning.

By supporting three kinds of interface, the DR-S150 / DR-S130 provides you various scanning methods such as;

Introduction of the server management software “COT Admin” enables IT manager to achieve centralized management of users/ scanners or scanning settings for each user by application software. IT manager can control the display in the LCD panel so that only the scanning settings for the log-in user are displayed to prevent the user from setting the scan settings every time or operation mistakes. For log-in method, three user authentication methods are available: 1.Enter PIN code of the scanner, 2. Enter user ID and Password, 3.NFC authentication by ID card*

Equipped with the image processing engine “DR Processor”

“DR Processor”, an image processing engine equipped with high-speed CPU, is adopted to the DR-S150 / DR-S130. This achieves fast, high-quality scanning in both color mode of Color/ Grayscale and B&W without depending on the performance of user’s PC. Also the DR Processor reduces uneven coloring, allowing documents to be scanned as images that are more suitable for OCR (Optical Character Recognition).

Various kinds of documents can be scanned such as thin receipts to thick card, licenses and passport with IC chip.  Also Folio function which document can be folded in half, scanned, and then combined into one image is equipped in order to create the image data of large A3–size document.

“Active Threshold” function creates optimal images by automatically adopting scanning setting value such as brightness when scanning documents in B&W mode continuously. You can scan various kind of format as 1 batch since it does not take time and effort to change scanning settings for each document.  Documents even with light color texts or wrinkled/ dirtiness can be well reproduced.

Easy scanning operation by batch separation function

The DR-S150 / DR-S130 can automatically sort document batches to some groups and save them as separated file by barcode/ 2D code, patch code or specified texts included into the scanned documents.

Selectable processing according to usage when feeding error detection

“DFR (Double Feed Release)” function is useful when scanning photos, documents with sticky notes. If the scanner detects a double feed, the feeding stops temporarily and a confirmation screen regarding whether or not you want to continue scanning appears on PC screen and the touch panel.  If you have checked the originals and there are no problems, select DFR (SAVE&CONTINUE).  Doing this saves any images scanned up to that point and allows you to scan the rest of the originals.

Reliable document feeding

Canon’s reliable page separation mechanism provides smooth feeding of a wide variety of document sizes and weights. The DR-M160ll also uses a new feed roller for even better paper feeding. Features such as Ultrasonic Double Feed Detection and Rapid Recovery further ensure dependability by making sure each and every page of a batch is scanned.

If a double feed is detected, the Retry and DFR functions allow scanning to resume.

If a double feed is detected at the feeder inlet, engaging the Retry Function automatically reverses the path of the document so that it can be fed again and rescanned. Also, if a document has something like a photo or a tag stuck to it, scanning can be resumed either by selecting the DFR (Double Feed Release) in the double feed confirmation dialogue on the screen, or by pressing the DFR button on the main unit to indicate that it is not a case of double feed.

DR-M260 supports a variety of documents, from business cards to thin documents such as order forms and delivery statements, in addition to the standard document commonly used in business. With the Auto Document Feeder’s ability to scan your documents in bulk, there is no need to divide your documents by type or size. The scanner mounts a new image processing engine, the DR Processor, which is equipped with a high-speed CPU. This makes fast, high-quality scanning possible without depending on the performance of your PC. It also makes support possible for the newest interfaces such as USB3.1 Gen1.
The DR Processor reduces uneven coloring, allowing documents to be scanned as images that are more suitable for OCR (Optical Character Recognition).

Supreme paper-handling reliability

The scanner prevents skewed feeding when different size of documents are fed together, with the help of left and right feeding rollers that revolve independently.
Paper jam will be detected by two types of sensors which prevent your important documents from being damaged.
Paper feeding error detection sensors quickly detect skewed documents and paper jam. Paper eject sensor prevents from damaging documents by detecting unusual length of document transit time.

Flexible double feed support

Scanning errors are prevented when feeding multiple documents, allowing for more speedy continuous scanning.
The scanner detects with ultrasonic detection when multiple overlapping documents pass through the scanner simultaneously, after which feeding stops automatically. Furthermore, the scanner has a “Separation Retry” function that automatically returns these documents to the feed tray.
It is also possible to disable double feed detection when scanning documents that consist of more than one layer, such as copy slips. When double feeding is detected, an error will be displayed on the LCD panel. Select “Save and continue” and then press “OK” button to continue scanning.

Various document sizes

DR-6010C features a versatile dual paper path that allows easy processing of a diversity of document types. The default U-turn path is designed for handling pages of standard, A4/LTR-size thickness, while the straight paper path can process thick items – even plastic ID cards. Also, the scanner can be switched from automatic to manual sheet feeding to accommodate non-standard paper types, including multi-sheet forms printed on carbonless (NCR) paper.

Ultrasonic double-feed detection

Double-feeds are caught with ultrasonic sensors that detect the gap between overlapping pages. The sheets are then halted from going through the scanner, allowing the double feed to be corrected.

Shading mechanism

To ensure consistent image quality, the DR-6010C performs an automatic calibration process called shading prior to each scan job. In an all-new mechanism that provides protection against dust, the image sensor shifts to calibrate itself against a special white shading surface that’s affixed directly on the sensor glass.

These sensors monitor the paper speed and skew angle as the document moves during scanning, enabling the unit to stop the document feeder immediately a problem is detected and to prevent damage to the document.

User-friendly operating panel

The operating panel for basic operations, such as starting and stopping scans, is located on the front right of the scanner. Various-sized document feeding

The DR-G2140/G2110/G2090 scanners deliver smooth, jam-free feeding of documents in mixed batches and non-standard documents ranging in size from business card size to A3 (11×17 in.)*. Active Torque Control adjusts roller torque to accommodate otherwise difficult-to-feed paper types, such as especially thin or thick documents. Three separation modes are available to enable scanning of thin or coated paper types that were previously difficult to feed.
